Do you like to travel?

I love travelling, it’s an escape to another world for me.

It also means that I am on holiday and that’s the best feeling ever (as in you are working but off for a week to recharge)!

Recently I have been to Shanghai for few days for a mini recharge and I would like to share with you what I did.

I travel to Shanghai on a regular basis so I do not see the tourist attractions anymore, but more about what I actually like to do – eat, see and play!

So my 4 days itinerary is only useful for you if you are like me, who just want to do something new when you are there.

Here is the flow

Day 1 – I arrived on a saturday Mid day.  My friends are staying at an Airbnb opposite the vintage market street and it’s quite convenient if you want to be around the South east part of Shanghai for your trip.

A friend in the group has bought a drone so we went to Shanghai Renmin Park to test it out.

Here is his video if you like to have a look (it contains some Hong Kong clip as well).

After that, we had some noodles around the area and head back to chill near home for the rest of the night.

Day 2

Since we head to sleep quite early last night I have much more energy to roam the city on Sunday and I had a very productive day, check out the video below!

View from Vue bar at Hilton on the bund

Day 3

We get up really early to visit Hangzhou today, it’s some adhoc trip so I didn’t do any research and just go with the flow, Hangzhou is quite pretty and very civilised already. However the amount of tourist there is a bit over whelming for what it has to offer! we stayed for around 12 hours and headed back to Shanghai.

West Lake

Hostel at the old town

Historical Pharmacy House over 100 years old

Cute neighborhood

Some park I went to

grannies are so funny

Shanghainese are in love with crayfish, you can see these everywhere. We got back to Shanghai and was really tired, so I didn’t get to sit town and have some of these! mmm next time!

Day 4

Last day in Shanghai – I chose to do something I have always wanted to do since I learn about Zotter Chocolate Factory Theatre

My tummy is now very satisfied and it’s time to go home back to Hong Kong

See you again Shanghai!
